About the role

Assistant Managers at Domino's provide managerial assistance to the store's General Manager, helping to run and implement operating standards in the restaurant. While performing the duties of this job, the team member may work outdoors, in various temperatures, in noisy environments, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, and around fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals. The role can be physically demanding, requiring repetitive hand use, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, stooping, or kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Count inventory and supplies on a nightly basis
• Analyze labor and sales on a continual basis
• Ensure facility and equipment cleanliness based on company standards
• Supervise employees efficiently
• Interview, hire, and onboard new team members
• Prepare and package food products
• Clean and maintain the store and its equipment
• Rotate commissary deliveries
• Drop off nightly deposits and complete necessary paperwork
• Deliver pizzas and other products to customers
• Deliver flyers and door hangers

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum two years of customer service or restaurant experience preferred
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to motivate and build solid, cohesive teams
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Customer service-oriented
• Able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and as emergencies arise
• Willing to learn and perform other workstation duties as needed
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces. Work surfaces range from 36" to 48" in height.
• Walking: Short distances for short durations, including between the store and delivery vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer’s location.
• Sitting: Paperwork is completed in an office at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds, lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
• Carrying: Items such as 3-pound cans, 30-pound pizza sauce, trays of pizza dough (12 pounds per tray), pizzas, and beverages during delivery.
• Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies require up to 7.5 pounds of force to push or pull.
• Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station and when stocking ingredients. Duration can be 30-45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously.
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally performed to stock shelves or clean low areas.
• Reaching: Continuous reaching up, down, and forward, including above 72" for tasks like oven controls or changing prices.
• Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area, potentially making several deliveries per shift.

Team Members may also be required to use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.

Pay

Starting wage for newly hired Assistant Managers is based on prior experience but generally starts at minimum wage. Raises are available based on performance reviews by Regional Supervisors.
