Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of store operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
  • Set the example by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and paperwork.
  • Maintain cost controls, food management, and profitability.
  • Uphold store cleanliness, image, and adherence to standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure punctuality and attendance.
  • Handle transportation to and from work, and support marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Ability to comprehend and give clear written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
  • Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and making correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Ability to operate all store equipment, stock ingredients, prepare product, and handle inventory.
  • Experience with cleaning equipment and maintaining store facilities.

Skills

  • Essential Functions: Math, verbal/writing/telephone skills, motor coordination, and computer/touch screen proficiency.
  • Temperaments: Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments/decisions.
  • Sensory: Near/mid-range vision, depth perception, ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces, and strong talking/hearing skills (especially for phone orders).

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., removing trash, deliveries).
  • In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler), and hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°F+).
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts in the work environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks performed while standing, with walking for short distances/durations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Unloading bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) and stacking onto shelves up to 72" high. Carrying pizza sauce (30 lbs), dough trays (12 lbs each), and small cans (3 lbs).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
  • Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs/ladder for tasks like changing signs or maintenance.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station, front counter, and while stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
  • Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination for shaping dough, using pizza peel/cutter, assembling boxes, and grasping tools/equipment.

Driving Requirements (if applicable)

  • Deliver products by car to customers' doors and distribute flyers/door hangers.
  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and navigational skills for reading maps/locating addresses.
  • Physical Demands: Carrying pizzas/beverages while walking/climbing (e.g., multi-story buildings), and navigating adverse terrain.
  • Work Conditions: Exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries.
