Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of store operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
- Set the example by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
- Manage staffing, paperwork, food, schedules, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
- Maintain perfect image and adherence to standards while delivering great customer service.
- Operate equipment, stock ingredients, prepare product, and process telephone orders.
- Conduct inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
- For delivery roles: Deliver pizzas and promotional materials (flyers, door hangers) to customers within a designated area.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give clear written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., using a keyboard, touch screen, or pizza peel).
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (for delivery roles).
- Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries (for delivery roles).
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work under stress, direct activities, and meet quality control standards.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., when taking out trash or delivering orders).
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools (e.g., ovens up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
- Sensory requirements: Talking/hearing on the phone, near/mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.
- Far and night vision for driving (for delivery roles).
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
- Walking: Short distances and durations, including between store and delivery vehicle (for delivery roles).
- Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Unloading bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs), stacking cases onto shelves up to 72" high, carrying pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of dough (12 lbs per tray).
- Carrying: Pizzas, beverages, and promotional materials during deliveries.
- Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
- Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or performing maintenance; may include 5+ flights of stairs during deliveries.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients) for 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
- Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination for shaping dough, using a pizza peel, assembling boxes, and operating equipment (e.g., keyboard, touch screen, pizza cutter).
