ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.
• Service, maintain and trouble shoot HVAC systems.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartment for market ready condition, may include cleaning and painting.
• Provide emergency resident support and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with scheduling contractors to perform work on the property.
• Aid Maintenance Supervisor with directing team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable.
• Maintain universal EPA designation/certification.
• Maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residency.
• Able to work overtime and emergency call in.
• Willing to travel for training and meetings.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to read and comprehend the English language.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Schedule

The schedule for this position will vary based on the needs of the community and may include some evening and weekend hours.

Pay

The starting salary for this position is $25.00 per hour, with a one-time $1,000 hiring bonus paid after 6 months of employment.
