About the role

The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor will assist the Camps Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing all facilities and grounds at Miracle Ranch. The role involves managing and maintaining buildings, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring camp security, and developing future plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all buildings, equipment, and vehicles while obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
  • Aids Facilities Supervisor with installing appropriate lighting, fencing, tools, and key systems to ensure camp security.
  • Collects trash and debris on the grounds and around buildings, planning arrangements for collection by the disposal company.
  • Maintains an energy conservation plan for camp facilities and monitors utility use, providing information to CRISTA Directors and utility companies.
  • Maintains a clean and organized shop to ensure the safety of those using it.
  • Obtains and organizes records for all vehicles and vendor contracts, performs repairs, and facilitates other projects.
  • Schedules on-call personnel to respond to emergencies related to facilities or equipment during camp sessions.
  • Leads and initiates contact with local authorities for safety enforcement when appropriate.
  • Develops and manages the Facilities department budget, monitoring collection expenses and discussing approval for unbudgeted expenses.
  • Creates and implements a three-to-five-year preventative maintenance schedule, focusing on facility projects like roof replacement and vehicle updates.
  • Aids the Director in developing and reviewing short- and long-range plans and projects for facility development.
  • Trains all summer staff on specific requirements for safely using camp vehicles and tools.
  • Supervises capital and facilities projects and represents the camp when capital projects are contracted.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, including horse programs.
  • Conducts activities that reflect well on CRISTA Ministries and align with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3 years’ experience in Facility work.
  • Able to learn various certifications for water testing, etc.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction or facility management degree.

Pay

$21 to $26.50 per hour, DOE.
