Assistant Line Operator

About the role

Revolution is hiring Night‑Shift Assistant Line Operators for its reprocessing department in Flint, MI. The position involves processing various types of plastic through a shredder and feeding it to the wash and extrusion line. The successful candidate works in a team environment, is individually motivated, and follows all safe operating procedures and posted requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to transport material from the warehouse to the preparation area near the shredder.
• Maintain quality standards, remove contamination, and prevent mixing of plastic colors/types when shredding.
• Follow safe work practices while operating the shredder and feed conveyor.
• Load conveyors repeatedly, lifting materials weighing up to 50 lb at chest or head level (e.g., pulling boxes off high stacks, sorting material into trash dumpsters).
• Clean the area routinely throughout the shift.
• Assist the extrusion operator in removing chunks and other waste materials from the line.
• Maintain forklift certification and operate a pallet jack to move up to 900 lb of material.
• Clean equipment and work area thoroughly between jobs.
• Complete assigned tasks as instructed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) for accurate reporting.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Physical ability to periodically lift and carry up to 25 lb, frequently lift 50 lb, sometimes push up to 100 lb, and move up to 900 lb using a pallet jack.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
