ASSISTANT INVENTORY PLANNER - CONSUMER TECH

Job Summary

Aid Inventory Planner in managing inventory flow to align with merchandise and financial objectives. Support in analyzing business recommendations and strategies.

Inventory Flows

• Distribute goods to achieve sales profitability and inventory turnover targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Forecast Analyst to adjust forecast parameters for seasonal and advertised items.
• Ensure featured products are available during advertising events.
• Communicate with internal and external customers regarding inventory issues and opportunities.
• Identify and mitigate aged inventory risks by recommending actions to Merchants.
• Review and maintain replenishment snapshot metrics including POG Accuracy, NIS Causes, and other relevant metrics.
• Purchase seasonal fashion and promotional items using the Allocate System to ensure accurate quantities and inventory levels meet demand.

Business Analysis

• Analyze inventory risk and make recommendations based on data.
• Identify opportunities to boost topline sales and present actionable business analysis.

Additional Duties

• Conduct store visits to assess merchandise presentation, stock assortments, and inventory levels.
• Work closely with store management to capitalize on business opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• General Experience: Three years of professional technical or responsible work in retail practices, demonstrating skills in interpersonal communication and problem-solving.
• Education Substitution: Up to a four-year bachelor's degree can substitute for three years of general experience.
• Specialized Experience: One year of responsible experience in database, spreadsheet software, merchandising systems, or similar work in non-appropriated funds or private sector retail.
