Assistant Installation Manager

The Assistant Installation Manager oversees installation projects for in-home and business-to-business flooring sales, ensuring proper allocation of resources, managing customer expectations, and resolving issues to achieve project success.
Responsibilities
- Locate, evaluate, and onboard independent installer talent for soft and hard surface skillsets.
- Liaise between managers, customers, and employees.
- Evaluate customer satisfaction with subcontractors’ work and recommend continued allocation of opportunities.
- Foster strong working relationships with installation contractors, focusing on feedback, coaching, and continuous improvement.
- Audit projects to ensure materials are available and the scope matches the sales contract.
- Direct subcontractor allocation based on licensure, qualifications, and location using Empire systems.
- Attend Pre-loadout Meetings and report on status, activities, and opportunities daily.
- Ensure timely loadout of subcontractors through process management.
- Collaborate to resolve customer complaints related to installation.
- Manage loadout operations with a target of fifteen minutes per subcontractor.
- Attend Post-loadout Meetings to report status and resolve issues.
- Engage with contractors at job sites to resolve issues, troubleshoot, and address change orders.
- Approve or decline subcontractor change order requests promptly.
- Manage change order scope and monetary impact, securing customer approval and payment.
- Perform weekly job-site visits to evaluate subcontractors and assess projects with complaints.
- Coach subcontractors to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Set, adjust, and approve installer labor pay for scope changes on-site.
- Handle subcontractor complaints and grievances promptly.
- Control material and supply distribution, ensuring proper return and accounting.
- Ensure safety and security during loadout.
- Monitor policy and safety compliance during loadout.
- Assist with market initiatives under the General Manager’s direction.
- Perform other necessary or assigned functions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications and order management software.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency in carpet and flooring installation fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of home improvement codes, permitting, and licensing preferred.
- Experience with material take-offs, additions, and estimating a plus.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Team player with positive subcontractor rapport.

Pay
$65,000 annually plus bonus
