Assistant Infant Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a person with patience, warmth, organization, and the ability to be flexible as the needs of the children change. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have a sense of humor and playfulness, be able to interact professionally with families and be able to manage professional development outside of work. The infant room is a busy place, so applicants should be able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning the room itself as well as following instructions from the Lead Teacher and Center Director.
• Managing paperwork as assigned.
• Following feeding instructions carefully.
• Assisting with developmentally appropriate play and structured positioning duties.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds.

This is a full time, year round position.

Requirements

• Current CPR/1st aid certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in a group care setting, preferably in infant care.
