About the role
The Growing Years of Greensboro is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support the following age groups: Infants.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Completion of early childhood education credentials/EDU 119 or some early childhood education coursework
- OR some experience working in the early childhood education field
- Ability to pass all background checks
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Pay
$14 – $16/hr, based on education and experience
