About the role

The Assistant Human Resources Director will lead the Human Resources function, oversee office administration, and foster a culture that aligns with Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. They will assist in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave of absence administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Human Resources function
  • Oversee all Human Resources office administration
  • Foster a culture that reflects Hyatt's purpose
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Manage leave of absence administration
  • Develop and execute training and development programs
  • Support engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources on HR strategy
  • Support hotel and company initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and colleagues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred
  • Minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
  • Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience
  • Strong Human Resources generalist experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional administrative and project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$80,000 - $110,000 per year
