Responsibilities
- Supports clinical services such as resident medication management, health assessments, and supervising the nursing staff.
- Makes a difference in the lives of residents by ensuring they receive excellent direct care.
- Manages the nursing department including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care.
- Verifies the proper distribution and required documentation of medication, treatments, and orders.
- Participates in regular resident assessments and service planning, and follows up with ancillary health care services as needed.
- Assists with the move-in and move-out process including tours, orientation, evaluations, and family communications.
- Provides direct care when needed, such as during health emergencies or to fill an open shift.
- Assumes the Health Care Director’s responsibilities in their absence and relays concerns to the Director.

Requirements
- A current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state.
- At least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
- Prior supervisory experience, preferably in senior living, is preferred.
