About the role

The Assistant Group Home Manager oversees the daily operations and implements programs within the group home. Key responsibilities include supervising clients, managing employee schedules, processing scripts, and maintaining client files.

Responsibilities

  • Client Supervision and Care Review: Weekly review and submission of client progress notes for manager approval.
  • Clerical Duties: Photocopying, scanning, faxing, and processing new scripts.
  • Vital Sign Monitoring and Documentation: Regular monitoring and documentation of vital signs and blood sugar levels.
  • Payroll Management: Reviewing and documenting bi-weekly payroll against schedule.
  • Greeting Visitors: Providing a professional and friendly welcome to visitors.
  • Support Staff: Assisting management and other staff, reinforcing staff effectiveness, and documenting client behaviors.
  • Medication Administration: Accurate and timely dispensing of medications, documenting administrations, and checking medications.
  • Transportation: Transporting clients to activities and leading activities as scheduled.
  • Activity of Daily Living Support: Assisting clients with ADLs and monitoring medical equipment.
  • Household Maintenance: Reporting and addressing house/vehicle repair needs, maintaining fuel levels, and conducting daily walk-throughs.
  • Client Files: Maintaining accurate and complete client files according to licensing regulations.
  • Training: Training new hires on client programming and conducting fire drills.
  • Meetings: Creating and attending staff meetings, submitting agendas, and reviewing working calendars.
  • Other Duties: Reading daily memos, printing MARs, auditing files, and assisting with billing and activity sign-ups.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of group home management experience
  • Expertise in Traumatic Brain Injuries or Spinal Cord Injuries preferred
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance
  • CPR and First Aid certification
