Assistant Grocery Manager

Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Assist the Grocery Manager with product merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, plan-o-grams, displays, rotation and inventory levels.
• Order all merchandise and supplies for the Grocery department and meet transmission times.
• Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times within the total store.
• Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks.
• Affirm compliance with company and state sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations.
• Train and develop new associates in grocery operations.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
