About the role
The Golf Division is seeking an entry-level Assistant Golf Worker to join a talented team of innovators in the green industry.
Responsibilities
- Aid in maintaining city golf courses.
- Operate various equipment including utility vehicles, hand tools, and power tools.
- Clean and remove trash from all areas of the golf course, including shelters and restroom facilities.
- Support horticulture maintenance tasks such as shrub beds, flower beds, and specialty gardens.
- Perform irrigation maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with snow removal as needed.
- Collaborate with other park divisions as required.
- Work in a team environment and independently in all weather conditions.
- Interact with the public professionally and courteously.
- Engage with team members in a considerate and helpful manner and maintain a positive attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- (Driver's license is not required).
- Pass a Motor Vehicle Record and background check.
- Physical, mental, and cognitive abilities sufficient to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay
The hourly rate is $15.50 - 16.00 per hour, based on relevant experience.
Schedule
Position is a non-benefitted seasonal/temporary hourly position with potential for flexible work schedules to allow for work-life-school balance. Hours vary from part-time to full-time and may include weekends, holidays, and early mornings. Potential for overtime pay and accrued sick/personal time based on qualified hours worked.
