Assistant Golf Professional

Summary

The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with other members of the professional golf staff to provide top-of-the-line service to members and guests. This role will be involved in all aspects of golf operations, including day-to-day operations, tournament operations, staff management, merchandising, and more.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and other members of the professional staff
• Manage day-to-day operations
• Manage outside staff, including hiring, supervising, and scheduling (approximately 35 staff members)
• Aid in the preparation and management of club events and leagues
• Aid in managing a cart fleet of 150 golf carts
• Provide excellent customer service
• Oversee practice facilities, locker room, and bag storage
• Work closely with other departments

Experience Required

• Desire to pursue a career in golf
• Golf experience at a private or semi-private facility is a plus
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings as business demands
• Experienced computer user with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Positive and proactive supervisory, leadership, and management skills
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
