Assistant Golf Professional

Shadow Hills Golf Club, located in Indio, CA, is seeking a motivated part-time Assistant Golf Professional to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while growing their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you’ll be part of a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Assists in administering all point-of-sale application revisions and needs related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
• Coordinates with Accounting Departments on policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation.
• Reconciles daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receives payments from members and guests.
• Resolves discrepancies such as duplicate charges and over/under payments.
• Tracks all force posts and no-show charges as applicable.
• Promotes all club golf activities.
• Assists in creating lesson plans and provides individual and group instruction.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
• Assists retail buyer with procurement and merchandise, and supports shop assistants with merchandising and sales.
• Prepares for golf outings, including coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets, and hole assignments.
• Monitors members’ scores, reports handicapping to USGA, and bills members.
• Follows established opening and closing procedures.
• Assists with associate training.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and four years of golf experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Registered PGA Member preferred.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.

Pay

$19 - $20 per hour
