Assistant General Manager (Sbarro)

What You Will Do

• Partner closely with the General Manager to support daily restaurant operations
• Ensure food quality standards are met and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members
• Help lead train and develop team members while supporting recruiting and retention of top talent
• Delegate tasks, manage workflows, and provide ongoing feedback to build a strong and motivated team
• Ensure every guest has a positive experience by maintaining high standards of service, resolving concerns professionally, and leading by example in all interactions
• Support financial performance by helping manage inventory control, costs, assisting with scheduling and payroll, and ensuring operations align with sales and budget goals
• Assist with local marketing efforts and community engagement

Requirements

• Two to three years of leadership experience in restaurant or food service
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of cost control, scheduling, and daily operations
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
