About the role
This role serves as an Assistant General Manager for a private aviation terminal, overseeing all business functions and leading the team in providing exceptional service to guests, residents, and flight crews.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all business functions of the Private Aviation Terminal (PAT)
- Collaborate with the General Manager to maintain and develop business
- Ensure compliance with all company and local regulations
- Act as a liaison with the airport community
- Manage and direct activities of subordinate leaders and team members
- Schedule, coordinate, and assign duties to team members
- Conduct shift and team member meetings and manage special events
- Administer and process new team members
- Lead team in safe and efficient operations
- Manage team performance and administer corrective action
- Interview, onboard, and manage team members
- Ensure all team members complete airline-required training
- Provide guest service support and manage relationships
- Perform ramp operations as needed
- Ensure safety and security of the terminal
- Manage inventory and oversee fuel quality control
- Comply with operational, safety, and guest service requirements
- Follow emergency response procedures
- Maintain accurate records and perform payroll oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid state driver’s license
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL) as required by base-specific operations
- Trained and approved to perform required certifications (e.g., towing, deicing)

- Leadership skills: Assign tasks, provide feedback, administer corrective action, and motivate others
- Hospitality skills: Excellent guest service skills, multi-tasking, and conflict resolution
- Communication skills: Read and comprehend documents, speak effectively, and write routine reports
- Financial skills: Basic knowledge of operation budget and P&L
- Physical ability: Enter/exit and operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment
- Critical thinking: Solve practical problems and deal with variable situations
- Interpersonal skills: Get along and work well with others, maintain professionalism and confidentiality
