Assistant General Manager - New Restaurant Opening!

About the role

This one's special: you'll open this restaurant. You'll hire the founding team, train them the JNN way, light the smokers for the first time, and set the standard this community will know us by for the next 20 years. Openings are the hardest and most rewarding thing we do, and the leaders who do them well carve the fastest path we have.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the GM to ensure flawless execution of every detail, every shift, by every team member
• Provide direction, coaching, and development on food quality, service standards, safety, and sanitation
• Ensure consistent execution of all systems, standards, inventory, and cost controls
• Partner with the GM on financial performance, action plans, and new company initiatives
• Interview and help select team members, keeping staffing at the right levels with the right people
• Respond to guest feedback with urgency and turn every recovery into a raving fan
• Leverage the catering team to deepen community roots and build sales
• Keep the operation clean, stocked, and ready, from the smoker to the front door

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-service restaurant management experience
• Hungry to grow into a General Manager seat and willing to earn it
• A coach first: you make the people around you better
• Organized, candid, and calm under pressure
• You don't settle for "satisfactory to most." You work for a memorable experience every shift.
• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
• Ability to be on your feet 8+ hours a day standing and walking for extended periods while lifting up to 50 lbs in a live kitchen and dining room; bending, reaching, climbing, and equipment operation are part of the craft

Pay

• Competitive Base Salary: GM: $80k - $95k + Monthly Car Allowance; AGM / Chef: $75k to $85k
• Monthly Bonus Opportunity: Management bonus plans offering achievable, top-dollar rewards for results that you control; bonuses paid monthly
