The Assistant General Manager supervises employees in the store, such as sales associates, stockroom workers, cashiers, and maintenance personnel. Other duties include achieving sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational standards, exceeding merchandising goals, building a highly motivated team, and furthering associates’ skills and clientele base. Job Responsibilities Learning, referencing and applying product knowledge information to recommend, select, and obtain merchandise based on customers' needs.Proactively seeking opportunities to up-sell and add-on additional merchandise, while enhancing the customer's experience, not overwhelming them. Assist with establishing, meeting, and exceeding sales and performance goals Building lasting relationships with customers and expanding the client book Co-managing sales team by continually motivating staff to exceed sales and productivity goals while setting the store standard in fostering a positive, upbeat and energetic atmosphereConnecting with customers and understanding their needs, such as documenting and communicating customer requestsAccurately and efficiently facilitating and overseeing customer purchases and return transactionsWatching for, recognizing, and handling loss prevention situations by displaying exemplary customer serviceCo-managing the daily operations of the store through monitoring and managing various levels of store staff Maintaining a knowledge of inventory, scheduling, setting sales goals, and training of sales associatesEnsuring that store merchandising, windows, and visual displays are maintained and consistent with the brand imageMaintaining clear, concise, and constructive communication lines open between sales team and corporate officeSeeking out top talent for the sales team through networking and recruitingMaintaining employee relations, problem solving, and acting as a leader to the sales team Maintain a professional and positive work environment Position Requirements Exceptional communication skills, written and verbalStrong work ethic and leadership qualitiesAbility to analyze sales reports and data to determine business needs and develop strategiesKnow how to trouble shoot, problem solve, and work well under pressureAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage teamStrong organizational and customer service skillsResourceful, hands-on, and able to sense urgency Education And Experience High School diploma required; Associates degree preferredMinimum 5+ years experience in luxury retail store environmentMinimum 2+ years of luxury retail managementFluency or conversational level in a foreign language is a plus. This is a full time hourly role available at a rate of: $24.00 - $25.00 USD/Hour, plus 3$ commission rate.
