About the Role

The Assistant General Manager helps the General Manager to ensure that day-to-day business operations run smoothly. This position provides an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn important management skills and practice judgment and discretion skills.

Responsibilities

• Confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives
• Ensure day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning specified work, focusing on store level operation performance, coaching, and developing shift supervisors
• Competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale
• Address issues in a timely fashion
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
• Maintain awareness of all applicable brand standards and all procedures and protocols to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations
• Ensure that the restaurant always looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards
• Ensure cash management is accurate and processed daily, reports are delivered as per company directives
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships
• Ensure inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs
