Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports dispensary staff, inventory, and patient/customer relations.
  • Interacts with customers and patients and provides exceptional customer service.
  • Responds to all customer and patient inquiries, feedback, and suggestions.
  • Quickly and respectfully resolves any in-store situations that may arise.
  • Builds out bi-weekly work schedules for current and incoming staff.
  • Regularly walks the floor and acts as a resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, industry news and changes in regulation.
  • Coaches and develops staff; answers staff questions, concerns or suggestions.
  • Delegates tasks to Cannabis Advisors to maintain regular compliance.
  • Works closely with the General Manager to communicate information to dispensary staff from the corporate retail team.
  • Counsels and trains staff on the POS System and State Inventory System.
  • Oversees orders and deliveries to ensure accurate order information and timeliness of deliveries.
  • Maintains company culture and atmosphere within the facility.
  • Keeps record of all dispensary activity including cash, sales, vendors, and customer/patient information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school degree or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year as an assistant manager, or above, is required.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with staff and retail management.
  • Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.
  • Proven ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb.
  • Able to stand up to 90% of the time.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a retail environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
