Assistant General Manager

Overview

We are looking for a purpose-driven Assistant General Manager to join our expanding team and become an ultimate ambassador of our brand. In this role, you will be charged with creating a highly productive environment focusing on building a motivated team, ensuring an extraordinary guest experience, and balancing other corporate priorities, focusing on strategic, operational, and leadership excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional guest experience throughout their visit.
• Work with the General Manager to develop local store marketing plans to support brand initiatives, including initiating community outreach through marketing and special events.
• Manage cash activities for the store (daily deposits, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines in your store at all times; ensure all Team Members are in compliance as well.
• Own and promote brand standards in alignment with company vision.
• Ensure store appearance and cleanliness are upheld and consistent with Smoothie King brand standards.
• Drive implementation of company programs through action planning and inspiring team to meet operational standards.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver the best smoothies and healthy retail products to your community.
• Provide an exceptional guest experience throughout our guest's visit.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and the community, both orally and in writing.
• Work the hours needed to run your store effectively, which might include a variety of days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Have a bias towards actions - you do not hesitate to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
• Have the desire to be coached and mentored - you see potential in yourself and enjoy growing that potential.
• Have an eye for detail - you know that the little things, be it cleanliness, or the extra touch can make all the difference.

• Have the ability to work cross-functionally and to coordinate communication across diverse work groups.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Present a proof of car insurance if the AGM drives a vehicle for work.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and the community, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledgeable of general POS functionality.
• Experience with OSHA, EEOC, and other federal and state laws and local statutes.
• ServSafe Certification.
