Assistant General Manager
About the role
ReturnPro Retailers are revolutionizing the reverse supply chain, focusing on returns as a strategic advantage. Their flagship facility in Fort Worth, TX, processes hundreds of thousands of units monthly across various categories, turning returns into a recovery engine. This role involves running a high-volume, multi-program reverse logistics operation, driving performance, and leading a team.
Responsibilities
Partner with the General Manager to manage day-to-day operations across all programs, ensuring throughput, accuracy, and team performance align with ReturnPro targets.
Analyze operational data to identify performance gaps, develop improvement plans, and execute with urgency.
Maintain operational cadence across a 200,000 sq ft facility, adhering to unique SLAs per customer program.
Monitor Days on Hand, yield, and cost-per-unit across programs, addressing deviations proactively.
Support budget preparation, P&L management, and General Ledger oversight to control costs and drive profitability.
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives across receiving, production, and fulfillment workflows, prioritizing highest-impact gaps.
Leverage WMS data and operational reporting to drive decisions and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Develop and implement solutions to address cost overruns, throughput shortfalls, and supply/packaging waste.
Lead, coach, and develop teammates to meet company, customer, and operational objectives, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, on-board, and train new teammates to ensure they are set up for success.
Control labor costs through smart scheduling, efficient deployment, and reduced overtime, without compromising throughput or team health.
Collaborate in developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies to maintain a safe, compliant, OSHA-ready work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field, or 2+ years of warehouse/logistics management experience.
Hands-on experience in reverse logistics, distribution, or high-volume processing environments.
Track record managing multi-program or multi-shift operations.
P&L exposure: budget prep, cost control, and performance reporting.
Familiarity with WMS platforms, handheld scanner workflows, and data-driven operations.
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA regulations, and safety compliance.
