The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business or department. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, financial performance, and alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in developing and executing business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Aid in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and control costs.
  • Supervise, coach, and support department managers and staff; foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
  • Maintain performance metrics and KPIs; analyze results and implement operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners as needed.
  • Support initiatives to identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new services, markets, or process improvements.
  • Address operational challenges and assist in resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Step in for the General Manager when required and provide updates or reports on operational performance and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an assistant management, operations management, or supervisory role.
  • Solid understanding of key business functions including operations, finance, HR, marketing, and customer service.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting change management or business growth initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, departments, or locations.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
