About the role
The Assistant General Manager at Golf Ranch is responsible for leading the team, driving membership growth, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Model the energy, professionalism, and accountability expected from the team
- Own the new hire training process from onboarding to shadow shifts and expectation-setting
- Provide direct, real-time coaching during every shift, addressing performance issues promptly
- Build a culture where feedback is continuous and standards are non-negotiable
- Act as the go-to decision-maker when things get busy, solving problems swiftly and keeping the team moving
- Drive Ranch Pass membership growth through daily execution and follow-up
- Identify trends in performance data, celebrate top performers, and refine team execution
- Hold the team accountable to a consistent, high-quality sales process that converts guest interactions into lasting membership value
- Own all aspects of Ranch Pass, including coaching, communication, retention, and member satisfaction
- Set and protect the standard for every guest touchpoint, from first impression to issue resolution
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and decisively, protecting both the relationship and the brand
- Maintain an environment that reflects Golf Ranch's standards in every detail
- Oversee sales counter operations with full accountability for accuracy and consistency
- Train and hold team members to Golf Ranch systems, SOPs, and daily checklists
- Troubleshoot in real time, addressing tech issues, high-traffic rushes, and staffing gaps without compromising quality
Requirements
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a sales-driven environment, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, fitness, or membership-based businesses
- A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets, not just managing a team through the motions
- Deep comfort with membership sales conversations, including pitching, handling objections, closing, and coaching others
- Strong communication skills, direct, authentic, and persuasive with both guests and team members
- Familiarity with CRM tools, POS systems, or membership management platforms
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods, as this is an MOD leadership role
