Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) role at Caribou Coffee is a growth opportunity designed to develop future leaders. The AGM works closely with the General Manager to run the store and make a positive impact on the team and community.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of the business to the level of a General Manager within a year
• Creates joy for customers, fostering long-lasting connections
• Empowers the team to exceed expectations through effective problem-solving and motivation
• Hits sales targets through balancing speed and service
• Takes charge of problem resolution, maintaining composure and professionalism
• Understands the financial impact of daily tasks and connects them to the P&L
• Executes and improves administrative tasks, linking them to overall business success
• Manages store funds responsibly, adhering to cash-handling policies
• Ensures smooth operations across shifts, considering future needs
• Identifies and addresses root causes of issues for sustainable improvement
• Enacts the core values in all interactions, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment
• Builds a collaborative relationship with the General Manager
• Strives to meet or exceed performance goals, driving impactful experiences

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of prior restaurant/retail experience with strong customer service focus
• Ability to work at least one of: early mornings, evenings, some holidays, and/or weekends
• Age 18 or older
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• One year of supervisory experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours

Pay

$16.52 - $27.53 per hour, starting pay subject to local and state minimum wage regulations
