Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• SERV Safe Certification required
• Experience in managing a Food Services Department and staff in a long-term care setting preferred
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group
• Computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Inspect the Dietary Department daily to ensure it is safe and sanitary
• Submit written reports to administration as necessary
• Plan nutritionally balanced and therapeutic meals that reflect residents' preferences and comply with Public Health regulations
• Oversee food purchase, production, and timely service of meals
• Direct and supervise all dietary functions and personnel
• Hire, orient, train, counsel, discipline, and, when appropriate, terminate dietary staff
