As an Assistant Financial Center Manager (AFCM), you will lead a team to meet the financial needs of customers through a valued consultative approach while providing exceptional customer service. This is a producer role as well as a coaching role for a team of bankers who engage with customers and prospects in person, through outside business development, and by phone.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Financial Center Manager in hiring, scheduling, coaching, and training branch staff to ensure coverage while fostering a strong team environment.
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of all retail roles, overseeing staff duties to ensure compliance with branch processes and procedures.
  • Educate associates on the bank’s full scope of resources, including in-branch services, digital capabilities, and business partner resources.
  • Meet personal and team goals through required in-person and outbound calling activities, sharing valued solutions via a needs-based approach.
  • Facilitate consumer loan requests: solicit loans, maintain knowledge of loan policies, assist with branch loan portfolios, and coach staff on effective loan handling.
  • Uncover customer needs and refer them to partner teams specializing in small business, corporate, institutional, mortgage, and financial advisory services.
  • Grow and develop new small business banking relationships within the market through outside sales activity.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction by reviewing experience results, coaching staff, and implementing plans for optimal customer experience.
  • Perform branch audit functions, including teller cash audits, compliance documentation, clerical, supervisory, and management reporting.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including required compliance training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous retail supervisory experience.
  • Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) required; obtain an NMLS license after employment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and social media platforms for brand awareness and market knowledge.
  • Occasional travel for meetings, training, bank conversions, or acquisition support (minimal overnight or out-of-town travel).
  • Ability to provide support and guidance at other banking institutions within the market.
