Assistant Field Hockey Coach, Part-time

About the role

Meredith College is accepting applications for a part-time assistant field hockey coach. The assistant coach reports to the Head Coach and the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with all aspects of a DIII women's Field Hockey program
• Collaboration with the head coach on preparation and implementation of training plans, practice sessions and game management
• Availability for all away contests to serve as additional driver and coach in Head Coach's absence
• Assistance with recruiting efforts
• Acquisition of knowledge about NCAA Division III rules and regulations and USA South Athletic Conference and Meredith College policies
• Participation in professional development activities in order to be knowledgeable about the changes occurring in the individual sport
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required
• Successful collegiate experience preferred
• Previous coaching experience in sport of Field Hockey strongly preferred
• Availability to travel with the team to all games
• Commitment to the NCAA DIII philosophy and all its rules and regulations
• Current Valid NC Driver's License Required
• Clean Driving History Required
