Assistant Facility Security Officer

About the role

• Safeguard personnel, facilities, information, and assets
• Maintain the organization's industrial security program
• Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements, and other applicable federal regulations governing classified information
• Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in administering and maintaining the organization's industrial security program

Responsibilities

• Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in administering and maintaining the organization's industrial security program
• Affirm compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements, and other applicable federal regulations governing classified information
• Help safeguard personnel, facilities, information, and assets
• Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization

Requirements

• Must be in office 5 days a week in our Bethesda location

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum of related work experience
• 3 years minimum of experience with onboarding cleared staff
• Experience with DISS, NBIS, NISS, and other government security systems
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Prior experience with DHS (Dept of Homeland Security)
