Duties and Responsibilities
- Industrial Security & Compliance Assist and maintain compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule), DoD manuals, and company security policies.
- Aid in managing processes to ensure FOCI mitigation procedures are followed.
- Support and conduct security inquiries, compliance assessments, and implementation of security controls.
- Assist in preparation for DCSA inspections, facility reviews, and self-inspections, including documentation and corrective actions.
- Maintain oversight of CUI processes and compliance, including documentation and safeguarding requirements.
- Personnel Security (PERSEC) Administer personnel security actions using DISS, NISS, NCAISS, e QIP/SF 86, and related systems.
- Track and process new employee clearances, reinvestigations, and clearance status updates.
- Verify clearance status for visitors, subcontractors, and consultants and maintain master access rosters.
- Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training for cleared personnel.
- Physical & Facility Security Monitor and support maintenance of CCTV, alarms, access control systems, and conduct periodic alarm testing.
- Assist with facility opening/closing, secure area checks, and end of day security procedures.
- Support the FSO in facility accreditation, secure construction requirements, and continuous monitoring.
- Process and track incoming/outgoing visit requests, including foreign visitor coordination when applicable.
- Maintain badging systems and processes across multiple badge types.
- Document & Material Control Ensure proper safeguarding, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified and CUI materials.
- Maintain accountability logs, document registers, and secure storage inventories.
- Aid in creation and management of DD254s for prime and subcontractor relationships.
- Security Operations & Incident Response Investigate and report security violations, suspicious contacts, and potential insider threat indicators.
- Maintain and support the Insider Threat Program, including reporting and mitigation tracking.
- Prepare and submit required incident reports to government and internal stakeholders.
- Training, Education & Awareness Deliver or support security training, including OPSEC, insider threat, foreign travel, and annual refresher training.
- Train internal staff on security procedures, document handling, and facility access requirements.
- Cross Functional & Program Support Coordinate with HR, IT, Facilities, Legal, and program teams to ensure integrated security support.
- Support proposal teams with classification guidance, security requirements, and DD254 inputs.
- Provide after hours or emergency support as needed, including participation in emergency response and crisis management.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance; current Secret or higher strongly preferred.
- Experience working with or supporting DoD security programs under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
- Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule), classified information handling, and secure facility operations.
- Experience using DISS, NISS, NBIS, or similar government security systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, leadership, and government customers.
- Familiarity with classified material control, access management, and security training.
- Ability to work independently on routine security tasks with moderate supervision.
- Experience supporting security audits, inspections, or self-assessments.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the company.
