Position Overview

The Springs at Tanasbourne is seeking an Assistant Executive Director to join our leadership team alongside our Executive Director and Department Directors. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, relationship-focused leader who is passionate about developing people, fostering teamwork, and creating an exceptional experience for residents, families, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the Executive Director and community in all efforts surrounding the daily, monthly, and annual efforts to achieve quality outcomes and substantial compliance.
  • Builds trusted relationships with residents, families, department leaders, and team members.
  • Fosters collaboration across all departments to create a seamless and exceptional resident experience.
  • Coaches, mentors, and supports department leaders while encouraging professional growth and leadership development.
  • Promotes employee engagement, accountability, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Partners with the Executive Director to support the overall operation of the community.
  • Supports resident and family satisfaction through proactive communication and effective service recovery.
  • Coordinates community-wide initiatives, strategic priorities, and special projects.
  • Maintains oversight of operational priorities and ensures timely follow-through on key initiatives.
  • Supports compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Affords assistance with budget management and operational performance.
  • Acts on behalf of the Executive Director as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Masters Degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or another service focused industry
  • Current Oregon ALF/RCF Administrator license, or the ability to obtain as required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Knowledge of AL & MC regulations
  • Proficiency in PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
