About the role

The Assistant Project Manager 2 assists Project Managers in various aspects of large-scale construction projects, including managing the business side, overseeing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled labor duties related to electrical systems and equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Manage the business side of a project, including establishing tracking charts and logs, and assisting with project documentation.
  • Interact with customers and other trades, representing the organization in the field.
  • Plan and organize projects, monitor progress, and assist with manpower needs.
  • Aid in establishing and reviewing construction estimates, preparing job delays and accelerations reports, and managing project billing.
  • Maintain project documents and assist with project close-out and turnover.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and enforce company policies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments, and participate in professional activities.
  • Develop and execute the change order process, manage material procurement, and assist with subcontractor and owner billing processes.
  • Prepare correspondence and manage project meetings.
  • Support project engineering activities and coordinate schedules, inventory, and material management.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing shop drawings and ensure their compliance with contract documents.
  • Represent the company during meetings with clients and A/E firms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of field experience in the electrical trade, or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of electrical construction materials and applicable codes.
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
  • Valid Florida Driver's license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual and Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
