About the role
The Assistant Project Manager 2 assists Project Managers in various aspects of large-scale construction projects, including managing the business side, overseeing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled labor duties related to electrical systems and equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Manage the business side of a project, including establishing tracking charts and logs, and assisting with project documentation.
- Interact with customers and other trades, representing the organization in the field.
- Plan and organize projects, monitor progress, and assist with manpower needs.
- Aid in establishing and reviewing construction estimates, preparing job delays and accelerations reports, and managing project billing.
- Maintain project documents and assist with project close-out and turnover.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and enforce company policies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and developments, and participate in professional activities.
- Develop and execute the change order process, manage material procurement, and assist with subcontractor and owner billing processes.
- Prepare correspondence and manage project meetings.
- Support project engineering activities and coordinate schedules, inventory, and material management.
- Assist in developing and reviewing shop drawings and ensure their compliance with contract documents.
- Represent the company during meetings with clients and A/E firms.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of field experience in the electrical trade, or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of electrical construction materials and applicable codes.
- Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
- Valid Florida Driver's license in good standing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual and Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
