About the role
The Assistant Dock Manager position supports the efficient and cost-effective operation of the dock and salvage workforce at Goodwill Houston's Donated Goods Program (DGP).
Responsibilities
- Ensures alignment and consistency of all aspects of dock and salvage operations, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Reference Guides, job descriptions, performance evaluations, and observations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or related field.
- Experience with inventory management and handling of goods.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
