Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of investigations and prosecutions in the bureau.

The vertical prosecution of cases including grand jury presentations, hearings, trials, negotiating possible dispositions, sentencing and other matters.

Work extensively with law enforcement in drafting search warrants, GPS orders, Cell Site Orders and Electronic Communications Interception orders.

Oversee Electronic Communications Interception (Wiretap) investigations, including but not limited to drafting wiretap applications, managing a wire team, following up on daily leads, prosecuting a wire case from grand jury through trial, electronic surveillance analysis.

Provide investigative on-call assistance to NYPD and other law enforcement agencies on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

  • A J.D. degree, active member of the New York State bar in good standing, and at least 4 years post-J.D. experience.
  • Experience in handling all aspects of criminal investigation and prosecution, especially complex multi-defendant and conspiracy driven cases.
  • Substantive experience in drafting legal process including but not limited to search warrants, GPS orders and Cell Site Orders.
  • Felony jury trial experience.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $102,000 to $128,000.
