The Appeals Bureau

The Appeals Bureau handles all post-conviction litigation for the Queens County District Attorney. In this busy New York City office, Appeals prosecutors draft briefs and participate in oral argument before state appellate courts, respond to post-conviction motions to vacate judgment and set aside sentence, and answer writs of habeas corpus in the federal courts.

Qualifications

  • Superior analytical, research, and writing skills
  • At least three years of prior experience as an appellate attorney or equivalent work experience
  • Graduate from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor degree
  • Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to obtain admission promptly)

Pay

Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $97,000 to $148,000.
