About the Role

The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Dispensary Manager and helps plan and manage all aspects of the store’s day-to-day operations. This includes personnel management, customer and vendor relationships, inventory control, and implementing company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Act as manager on duty, supervising store operations, team member activities, sales floor activities, and handling escalated customer service matters
  • Daily balancing of cash and product inventory, and training team members on reconciliation processes
  • Monitor and provide feedback on inventory levels and dispensary sales to track store trends
  • Ensure adherence to local and state laws and regulations through enforcement of company policies
  • Audit the Communication Binder for current information and updates
  • Audit patient intake for accuracy and completion
  • Manage the Financial Hardship program, if applicable
  • Audit cash handling records, chain of custody documents, and waste disposal logs for proper recordkeeping
  • Assist with recruitment and hiring, including participating in candidate interviews and making hiring recommendations
  • Advise on staffing needs and prepare store schedules
  • Implement brand sales and marketing strategies

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old
  • 3-5 years’ experience in retail management, managing a diverse team
  • College degree preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lead multiple employees in a team environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
