Job Responsibilities
- Provides operational support for TLC and testing.
- Tutors students under the supervision of the Director of The Learning Center.
- Affords assistance in supervising part-time temporary staff.
- Collaborates with faculty to coordinate activities aligned with program and curricular needs.
- Trains students using available learning systems.
- Assists the Director with daily operational support for TLC and Testing center, including planning and marketing efforts.
- Manages tutors, conducting interviews, selecting training, and setting rate of pay and hours of work in conjunction with the Director.
- Supports tutoring in Mathematics or other high need subjects.
- Collaborates with academic faculty to develop, enhance, and implement learning resources for use in TLC to promote student success and retention.
- Works closely with testing center assistant director, staff, and academic faculty to develop and maintain best practices for collegial testing environments.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience in teaching/tutoring and working knowledge of teaching best practices are preferred.
Additional Comments
- Travel and work may be required at other campuses.
- Occasional night and/or weekend hours may be required for scheduled events.
