About the role
The Assistant Director for Ticket Operations plays a key role in the Ticket Operations unit, helping deliver a seamless sales and gameday experience, superior customer support, and strong financial integrity. This position is responsible for daily ticket office functions, supervising part-time staff, managing events, and providing exceptional service to fans and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with university, NCAA, and conference policies.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in a related field, or a master's degree
- Experience working in ticket operations or similar fast-paced customer service environment
- Functional knowledge of Paciolan ticketing software or similar platform
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access)
- Demonstrated customer service management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant supervisory experience in a customer service setting
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules regarding complimentary ticketing
- Familiarity with Virginia Tech Athletics facilities

This position is exempt from overtime and is subject to a criminal conviction check. Virginia Tech provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Pay
Up to $45,000 annually.
Schedule
40 hours per week, nights and weekends as needed.
