Assistant Director of Security
About the Role
Imagine turning your passion and talent into a fulfilling career at Pendry, where you’ll support and assist the Director of Security in managing the day-to-day operations of the Security Department. You’ll establish and implement security policies, review incident and loss reports, and assist with Fire Life Safety procedures. Your role includes developing emergency preparedness training, implementing key control programs, and actively participating in the Safety Committee. You’ll also collaborate on department Standard Operating Procedures, train associates on OSHA regulations, and act as the systems administrator for access control and CCTV systems. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist the Director of Security with daily operations of the Security Department
- Establish and implement security policies and procedures
- Review and follow up on all incident, accident, and loss reports
- Assist with establishing Fire Life Safety policies and procedures
- Develop and train associates in emergency preparedness procedures
- Assist in the implementation of the hotel’s key control program
- Actively participate in the property’s Safety Committee and take ownership of action items
- Collaborate with the Director of Security to develop and implement department Standard Operating Procedures
- Train associates on OSHA-related rules, regulations, and Worker’s Compensation
- Act as systems administrator for access control and CCTV systems
- Perform additional duties as assigned, based on business needs
Requirements
- Prior Safety and Security leadership experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize, organize work assignments, and multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
- Continual learning and adaptation to new operating systems
Qualifications
- Passion for safety, security, and protecting hotel assets
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Trustworthiness and integrity
- Prior experience managing Workers Compensation and General Liability claims (preferred)
- Proficiency, knowledge, or experience in basic law enforcement (a plus)
- Luxury hotel experience (a plus)

Pay
The pay scale for Assistant Director of Security is $84,000–$86,000 annually, exclusive of incentive pay.
