About the role
The Assistant Director of Public Utilities provides oversight of the Public Utilities Department, including the direct supervision of the Natural Gas Superintendent, Water & Sewer Superintendent, and the Wastewater Superintendent. The Assistant Director collaborates with the Director of Public Utilities on critical matters and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Directs and supervises the Natural Gas Superintendent, Water & Sewer Superintendent, and Wastewater Superintendent.
- Collaborates with the Director of Public Utilities on critical matters and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public utilities management.
- Experience in natural gas, water, and wastewater operations.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of public utility regulations and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of financial management and budgeting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
