About the role

The Assistant Director of Public Utilities provides oversight of the Public Utilities Department, including the direct supervision of the Natural Gas Superintendent, Water & Sewer Superintendent, and the Wastewater Superintendent. The Assistant Director collaborates with the Director of Public Utilities on critical matters and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises the Natural Gas Superintendent, Water & Sewer Superintendent, and Wastewater Superintendent.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Public Utilities on critical matters and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public utilities management.
  • Experience in natural gas, water, and wastewater operations.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of public utility regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of financial management and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
