Assistant Director of Nursing - RN
About the role
The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the DON in managing the nursing department to maintain quality standards of care, provide input into nursing philosophy, and promote positive employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Consult to medical staff, department heads, and Administrator in matters related to nursing service.
- Interpret nursing philosophy and establish departmental goals and objectives.
- Affirm regulatory compliance and communicate effectively with nursing staff to enhance care delivery.
- Promote positive employee relations, customer service, and staff education and training.
- Exercise direction over the department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
- Ensure integrity of educational programs offered within the facility.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of long-term or acute health care experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Qualifications
May exercise direction over the department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Skills
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Salary Range from $91,000.00 - $95,000.00 a year
