Assistant Director of Nursing - Interim ADON
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Clinical Manager / Infection Control Nurse is responsible for overall supervision and coordination of the clinical unit, growth of facility and community resources, provides comprehensive standards, practices and programs that meet the needs and best interests of the facility, staff and residents.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin (which must be in good standing)
- At least two years experience in LTC plus sufficient infection control knowledge responsibilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in long term care
- Possess skills in leadership and communication
- CPR certified

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Supervisory: Manages training, development and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce for
- Develops and facilitates growth within the Nursing Department, relates professionally and positively to facility and departmental staff and works cooperatively with others at all levels, and to include performance evaluations and discipline as necessary.
- Performs assessments, develops and implements appropriate plan of care based on assessment and diagnosis tailored to meet each individual's needs with the interdisciplinary team. Evaluates the plan of care and makes necessary changes as needed. Monitors the care delivery of staff.
- Delegates and collaborates in providing resident care according to licensure and skill levels, follows up to ensure success.
- Documents according to current standards and established policies.
- Ability to work independently with organizational skills, to prioritize tasks and to exercise judgment consistent with core values.
- Ability to model effective communications between resident, family, staff, and community.
- Must be able to identify potentially unsafe situations and to respond appropriately.
- Responsible to know, implement and assure compliance to State, Federal or County regulations and BHS policies and procedures.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
