About the role

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports nursing operations within a healthcare facility, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective staff management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in staffing and scheduling nursing personnel
• Supervise and evaluate staff performance
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care through supervision and communication with staff and physicians
• Serve as a liaison between staff nursing and management
• Monitor the facility’s Quality Assurance Program
• Maintain accurate nursing records
• Act as Infection Control Nurse
• Review decubiti reports weekly and monthly
• Handle disciplinary issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid North Carolina license
• At least two years of nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing
• Strong decision-making, supervision, and problem-solving skills
• Genuine interest in geriatric nursing
• Ability to work under pressure while adhering to all relevant procedures and regulations
