Assistant Director of Nursing
About the role
The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the DON in managing the nursing department to maintain quality standards of care, provide input into nursing philosophy, and promote positive employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Consult to medical staff, department heads, and Administrator in matters related to nursing service.
- Interpret nursing philosophy and establish departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and effective communication strategies with nursing staff.
- Promote positive employee relations, customer service ethic, and staff education and training.
- Exercise direction over the department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
- Ensure integrity of educational programs offered within the facility.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of long-term or acute health care experience preferred.
- At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Qualifications
Experience in long-term or acute health care settings, supervisory experience, and current RN licensure are required. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Skills
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

Pay
$114,000 - $145,000 per year
Schedule
Part-time (22.5+ hours/week) and Full-time positions available.
