About the role

The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the facility's nursing department. This role ensures compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to maintain the highest degree of quality care. You will oversee the delivery of nursing services, including planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans to maximize resident quality of life and quality of care while upholding resident rights and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate staffing in number and ability to maintain the highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being for each resident, meeting state and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain facility compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, ensuring resident and staff information confidentiality.
  • Develop and evaluate resident care goals and policies with the healthcare team and Executive Director to ensure adequate resources and services.
  • Review logs and medical records to ensure the highest practicable care is delivered.
  • Keep the department on budget and update the Executive Director on budget concerns.
  • Observe, mentor, and train new and current staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, on facility programs, policies, and procedures, holding staff accountable for assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in good standing.
  • Current CPR with BLS certification.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in geriatric nursing, including medication administration, delivery systems, and pharmacies.

Pay

$55-$60 an hour based on experience. Sign-on and relocation bonuses offered.
