Assistant Director of Nursing

About the role

The Assistant Director of Nursing manages the nursing department with the goal of providing a safe, home-like environment where our residents can achieve and maintain their fullest level of wellness and function. This position utilizes sound clinical practices to maintain excellent quality care, manages the clinical team, and oversees resident health and wellness through regular resident monitoring and communication.

Responsibilities

• Defines and maintains the standards of nursing practice within the facility
• Implements nursing policy and procedure and ensures smooth operation of the clinical department
• Ensures continued adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations
• Manages and oversees all nursing staff
• Provides planning, organization, education, supervision, and evaluation of all services provided in the facility
• Verifies that all department staff is properly trained to perform their required duties
• Ensures that operation of the Nursing Department remains consistently within budget
• Other relevant duties as may be required or assigned

Experience with the applicable state Survey Rules & Regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid Requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of RN experience
• Current WI Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations in long-term care
• Experience with the applicable state Survey Rules & Regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid
