About the role
Azria Health Longview is seeking a results-oriented Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) RN with strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to oversee nursing personnel under the direction of the Administrator. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in a long-term care setting and enjoy working with the elderly.
Responsibilities
- Exercise administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the Administrator.
- Aid the DON in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care.
- Liaise with residents, families, support departments, etc., to plan for resident needs.
- Implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
- Show integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
Requirements
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
- Maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
- Supervisory experience in a long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a team of nursing staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
- Knowledgeable in state reporting and developing and implementing plan of corrections.
- Very knowledgeable about practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care functions.
Qualifications
- Long Term Care and Assisted Living Experience required.
- Supervisory experience: 2 years.
- Nurse Management experience: 2 years.
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.
- Ability to teach and lead by example.
